• 9th Grade Orientation

  We're super-excited to welcome our new high school students! Last year, APPA High Schoolers made greater literacy gains than any other school in the district!  While Algebra scores went down across the city, ours went up!  

  All 9^th graders should report to school on September 4^th from 12:30 to 3:00 pm.  During this orientation program, students will have lunch with their Freshmen Seminar Classes, receive school supplies, and go through a mini version of their schedule.  Students will meet each of their teachers and spend ten minutes in each class.

• First Day of School!

  The first day of school for all students is Thursday, September 5th!  Doors open at 7:30 am for breakfast.  The school day runs from 8:30 to 2:50.

• Middle School Seats Still Available

  APPA is still accepting students in grades 6th through 8th.  Last year, our Middle School students outpaced the City on all state exams!  Come be a part of our success!  To register, please contact us at 718-824-3152 or email mposimato@schools.nyc.gov.

• 2024 6th Grade Student Orientation

  Welcome to APPA!  We are very excited to welcome your student to our learning community this fall!

  Student Orientation:  Tuesday, August 27^th from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. All new students should join us for a fun day of meeting their new classmates and teachers. All students who attend will receive free school supplies, a new backpack, and pizza for lunch!

  Family Orientation: Wednesday, August 28^th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.  The whole family should join us for a welcome dinner!  Parents will have the opportunity to meet their child’s new teachers, register for updates, and learn about exciting events.  This free event is our way of welcoming you all to our community!
