Free Thanksgiving Dinners from DOE Available!

The holidays are approaching and many New Yorkers continue to struggle with unemployment, food insecurity, and the impact of COVID-19.

We are thankful that the Office of Food & Nutrition Services has announced that it will be serving Thanksgiving dinners to go (frozen to cook at home) will be served on 11/23, 11/24, and 11/25 for pickup from 9am12pm and 3pm-5pm.

Thanks to the team at OFNS—Chris, Stephen, Armando, Nicole and Tracy— and the Chancellor, for ensuring our families are fed!

Our Parent Thanksgiving Event

Our Parent Thanksgiving Event was held on Saturday, November 21st. I have attached a picture we took: our Parent Empowerment Team joined by NYPD 43rd Pct Youth Coordinator, Officer Perez and his team.

Some of you ask to donate, however, we had already met our goal of 50 bags. We will be planning a similar event in December and will be reaching out.

Health Resource Room

Blended students can access the Health Resource Room on the days they are scheduled to be in the building between 2:00-2:15 (dismissal) in room 298. When in-person, students are expected to follow the health and safety protocols set forth by the NYC DOE (e.g., wear face coverings, maintain a distance of six feet a part at all times).

Students learning fully remote can access to the Health Resource Room by contacting Ms. Falconi through Google Hangouts at between 2:00-2:15.
